Hello I currently in middle of migrating jamroom to a new server but I was wondering is there any reason behind the mixed engines in jamroom. of using INNODB and MyISAM. also is it OK to convert my jamroom tables from utf8_unicode_ci too utf8mb4_unicode_ci as this method is like the older method but better performance for UTF8 Stephen

Ning to Jamroom

11/01/14 07:28:17AM, by Ken Rich

I put this as a forum topic in the Ning Creators Forum: http://creators.ning.com/forum/topics/ning-to-jamroom However, since they might pull it down when my Ning bill goes unpaid, I'll reproduce it here as well. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ There is a Ning to Jamroom forum opened on Jamroom and they are offering a migration path away from Ning, that is not only viable, but empowering and easy to implement. An automated tool has been developed to migrate your Ning Archive JSON...

06/08/16 06:25:39AM, by fyre.walker

I'm not sure what happened, but I lost the main page of my network. I tried to re-create my main page from my Ning 2.0 to Jamroom and now the main page is blank and I can't go back and undo what I did (sighs)

New Jamroom

04/24/20 02:32:39AM, by MetalScene

Ok So having been a jamroom 3 & 4 user and taking a break between 4 and the new version, i felt i needed to say something since my return. What a great job Brian and the team have done. 10/10 I have added over 500 artists to my system in the last 4 days manually and i can say the new system works smooth and amazing. So many issues from 3 & 4 have been very intelligently redesigned and integrated to make it feel seamless. It has a learning curve but it well worth it Some minor...

Moving Jamroom 4

01/15/24 03:59:17AM, by ukdenny

I have downloaded my Jamroom 4 installation to my computer and now uploded the latest Jamroom to the space and domain that was taken up by Jamroom 4. I have created a new database for the new install. My question is, I would like to transfer the data, mp3s, photos etc from Jamroom4 to the new install, what would be the best way of doing this? I can upload the old Jamroom to the same server that the new install is on. Just a little help would be appreciated please.
